Maldita Vecindad (commonly referred to as simply La Maldita) are a Spanish rock and ska band that formed in Mexico City in 1985. The group rose to fame with the release of hits like "Mojado", "Un poco de sangre", "Cocodrilo", "Pachuco", and "Un gran circo". La Maldita's sound incorporates several styles including elements of ska, rock, and traditional Cuban forms such as the bolero and Cuban Son. They are considered pioneers of rock en español and are one of the most influential rock acts to emerge from Mexico.
